Here are our latest updates on reopening for deepspaceworks.
We have been very busy here preparing to reopen for classes and had truly hoped to have a new timetable issued by now. Our aim was to reopen for a new term to start gradually from Monday 21st September. However, the latest Covid-19 developments and restrictions, have tipped the scales to further postpone our re-opening.
We enjoy welcoming people from many different groups in the community and want first and foremost to make sure that everyone remains protected. Currently class numbers would be restricted to six, including one or two staff members.
On scrutinising the latest advice from gov.uk we find that we come under ‘communal/community facilities’ and this causes further complications. As many of our visitors could be classed as ‘vulnerable people’ we are simply unable to guarantee complete safety for all.
So please bear with us while we work to ensure that deepspaceworks is ready and available to you just as soon as possible!
In the meantime…
Keep watching here for confirmation of the opening date for our new community hub and shop front for deepspaceworks, to include a gallery, shop and small cafe. Called ‘FRONT’ or
in full.
We are aiming to open at 10am on Thursday 1st October with social distancing measures in place.
You will be able to find us at 197 London Road, Sixways.
Please drop in to see us there if you can.
More news on FRONT to follow…
We really are missing you all and hope to see you soon.
Keep safe

Hello Su and Olivia!
I wanted to ask what will happen now that a 2nd lockdown will start on Thursday 5th November. Will you open on Wednesday? I was hoping to visit with a friend – but obviously won’t be able to if you’re closed..
I enjoyed my last visit very much: fab carrot cake – and I LOVED having a cafetière of coffee!
Hello Sally
Thank you for asking and yes we will be open on Wednesday for drinks, plant based cakes, loose foods and everything in the shop and gallery.
Look forward to seeing you!
Su and Liv
