‘Scare Stories’ Book Launch

deepspaceworks is thrilled to have been chosen as the venue for the book launch of

‘Scare Stories’ by David Clarke

Friday 30th June at 7.30pm

and thrills and chills are what we are likely to experience during an evening of unusual readings by David Clarke from his latest publication of poems ‘Scare Stories’, superimposed on a backdrop from film-makers, Helen Dewbery and Chaucer Cameron of Elephant’s Footprint Poetry Film.

Q and A’s with David and more about ‘Elephant’s Footprint Poetry Film’ follow after a break with wine and canapes.

Tickets on the door, £6.50 including refreshments.
Copies of ‘Scare Stories’ will be on sale on the night.

In a review of Scare Stories for ‘The Journal’, Sam Smith says
“Each page an untitled poem, snatch of eavesdropping, a rapidfire confession, the reader has to guess at the identity of the speakers and whereabouts and what of which they speak. (…) The scare here being the world and time we inhabit and which is seeking to destroy us”
