‘HEROES & HEROINES’: an evening of poetry, prose & music

NewBohemians@CharltonKings, Jennie Farley, Eley Furrell & Su Billington, are thrilled to announce our next exciting event at which a variety of performers, poets & musicians present their own responses to our theme, ‘Heroes & Heroines’.

Included in our incredible line up are our leading poets, Jennie & Eley, who will be bringing their own magic to the evening. Jennie will be reading from her new pamphlet, ‘Jocasta’s Song’, on mythical women with a feminist twist & accompanied by a specially commissioned piece of music from Dan Cooper, while Eley wows us with wonderful renditions of his own works.

Plus! we look forward to more poetry from Robin Gilbert, Anna Saunders (Executive Director of Cheltenham Poetry Festival) & David Clarke. And if that isn’t enough the evening will also be interspersed with acoustic musical pieces from several musicians including Geoff March and Steve Ashley!

Of course, our NBCK events are equally about you, the audience, therefore we hope you will bring with you, a favourite or one of your own poems on the theme of Heroes & Heroines to share with us.

Tickets £6.50. Wine, soft drinks & nibbles included.

To book your seats you can let us know through our Meet-Up page if you already are or would like to become a member of NewBohemians@Charlton Kings
