Artist Statement
Love for curating combined with interest in self portraiture are realized in works that draw on the performance of experience; perform the experience of drawing; experience the performance of drawing.
Recent work includes ‘DRAWING on the PERFORMANCE of the EXPERIENCE’ combining three elements to draw on lesser-used senses at live events such as improvised music.
Current work also includes ‘Field Press Series’ – an attempt to archive the material elements in life that tame the free spirit.

KEY SKILLS
Having engineered and co-ordinated a successful campaign to save a long established Fine Art degree course, threatened by closure at The University of Gloucestershire, I gained skills in communication, problem solving, IT and teamwork. A major part of the campaign involved a public exhibition, adding PR, organisational, curatorial and general management experience to my list of skills.
I have taken these skills into the field of curation and have to date personally put together six exhibitions including ‘Emery Walker: Man of Letters’ as a guest curator for Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In my spare time I enjoy yoga, walking, reading, music, visiting exhibitions, gardening and my pets. I am a keen traveller and like to visit remote parts of the world as well as exploring the English countryside. Am passionate about helping to promote other artists especially those in exile whether from their countries or their bodies. I am continually developing a special interest in the art and culture of Tibet.
