Artist Statement

I am primarily a painter working in oils. Drawing is also an important part of my practice, as well as exploring different ways to make work using printmaking and mixed media. I am also very interested in painterly printmaking. My subject matter is based around the tradition of still life tradition. I paint places and things that I encounter in day to day life. My work is definitely about life and NOT about death.
