Lucy Boden

Artist Statement

Lucy is a freelance illustrator currently working from her studio space at the Deepspaceworks Art Centre in Cheltenham. She specialises in illustration for children, creating her images from bright, clean gouache colours and experimenting with detail, character and narrative in her work. Lucy graduated from University College Falmouth in 2009 with a BA (Hons) Illustration degree.

After graduating in 2009, Lucy became part of the GradGallery collective, formed by a group of Falmouth graduates looking for a way to work with other creatives and promote their work as a group. GradGallery regularly organises successful exhibitions around the country to publicise their work.

Lucy has worked on a number of freelance commissions for clients including Liberty Art Fabrics and Scholastic. She is currently represented by Plum Pudding Illustration agency.
